Ok, unpopular opinion here, but I can’t stand this cartoon. That’s not because I’m anti-abortion. (I know, I hear your objections)I don’t mind someone putting forward an argument against my opinion, but this isn’t an argument. It’s a list of stereotypes. But maybe they’re true, I hear you ask. Perhaps a lot of Americans with anti-abortion opinions do have these opinions.  It’s not an argument against abortion- there’s no trace of an argument in favour of abortion, just a list of accusations that argue against a person and not their opinion. A similar list, equally as logically vacuous, could be levelled against the stereotype of a liberal. As a passionate pacifistic socialist who’s against the death sentence, none of the apparent arguments here argue against my anti-abortion opinion. What annoys me is not an attack my opinions, but the lack of any reasoning behind it, and the fact it’s as invalid as an argument as the  ”At least I’m not a Liberal” dismissal that it ridicules.
